Returns & Exchanges u2014 Polymer 80 Glock

At Polymer 80 Glock, we stand behind the quality of our products and are committed to ensuring your satisfaction. This policy outlines the procedures and requirements for returns, exchanges, and warranty claims. Please read it carefully before initiating a return, as specific rules apply to unserialized frames, build kits, and FFL items.

Return & Exchange Policy Overview

Our standard return window is 30 days from the date of delivery. To be eligible, items must be unused, unmodified, and in their original packaging with all included parts and documentation. We do not accept returns for change of mind on certain product categories. All return requests must be initiated through our Returns Center. Returns received without a valid Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number will be refused and returned to sender at your expense.

Step-by-Step Return Process

Follow this numbered process to ensure your return is handled promptly and correctly.

  1. Initiate Request: Log into your account and visit our Returns Center within 30 days of delivery. Select the item and reason for return.
  2. RMA Issuance: If eligible, you will receive a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and instructions via email. Write this RMA number clearly on the outside of the return box.
  3. Package Securely: Place the item in its original, undamaged packaging with all parts, manuals, and accessories. Include a copy of your invoice/packing slip inside the box.
  4. Ship Return: Ship the package to the address provided in your RMA instructions using a trackable carrier service. The customer is responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to our error or a verified manufacturing defect.
  5. Inspection & Processing: Upon receipt, our team will inspect the item (typically within 5 business days). You will be notified of the approval or rejection of your return via email.
  6. Refund Issued: Once approved, your refund will be processed to the original payment method. Please allow 7-10 business days for the refund to post to your account after processing.

Important Note on Refused Deliveries: If you refuse a delivery, a 15% restocking fee will be deducted from your refund to cover shipping and handling costs.

Exchanges for Defective Items

We will gladly exchange any item with a verifiable manufacturing defect. Important: The exchange process requires photo verification before you return the item.

  • Photo Proof Required: Before issuing an RMA for a defect, you must email clear, well-lit photos of the defective part/area to our support team. This allows for preliminary assessment.
  • Defined Process: If a defect is confirmed, we will issue a prepaid return label (if within the USA) and ship the replacement once the defective item is in transit back to us.
  • Warranty Period: Manufacturing defects are covered under our 90-day limited warranty from the date of purchase. After 30 days, only defective items are eligible for exchange, not for refund.

Special Circumstances

FFL Transfer Returns

If you need to return a serialized frame or firearm that required an FFL transfer, you must contact us directly before initiating any return. Do not take the item to your local FFL for return. We will provide specific instructions and our receiving FFL information. The return shipment must be made by a licensed FFL holder to our licensed FFL. All standard return conditions and timeframes apply.

Damaged-in-Transit Claims

If your package arrives with visible shipping damage (crushed box, holes, etc.):

  • Do NOT refuse the delivery. Accept the package.
  • Within 48 hours of delivery, take clear photographs of the external shipping box damage and the internal product damage.
  • Email these photos along with your order number to our support team. We will work with the carrier to file a claim and arrange for a replacement or repair.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What if I drilled my 80% frame and the holes are misaligned?

80% frames that have been drilled, machined, or otherwise worked on are non-returnable as stated in our policy. The 80% frame is a raw material intended for finishing by the end-user. We recommend reviewing our instructional videos and using the provided jig correctly. Alignment issues after machining are not covered under warranty.

I opened my build kit to inspect it. Can I return it?

No. Once the sealed bag of a complete build kit (like a PFS9 or PFC9 kit) is opened, the kit is considered used and is non-returnable. You may only initiate a return for a sealed, unopened kit within the 30-day window.

How long does a refund take to show on my credit card statement?

After we approve your return, we process the refund to your original payment method within 2 business days. It then typically takes 5-10 additional business days for your bank or card issuer to post the credit to your account. The 7-10 business day timeline is an estimate, and some institutions may process faster or slower.

What qualifies as a manufacturing defect?

A manufacturing defect is a flaw present from the factory that prevents proper function or assembly, such as: out-of-spec rails, grossly mis-molded polymer preventing jig fitment, or a missing/damaged metal component in a sealed kit. Normal finishing challenges with 80% frames (e.g., tight rail slots requiring fitting) are not considered defects. Our support team makes the final determination based on provided evidence.

Who pays for return shipping?

The customer is responsible for the cost of return shipping for standard returns (e.g., change of mind, unopened item return). We will provide a prepaid return shipping label only for items verified to have a manufacturing defect or shipped in error by us.

My item is outside the 90-day warranty but is defective. What are my options?

Our 90-day limited warranty covers manufacturing defects. For issues arising after this period, we recommend contacting the original manufacturer of the specific component (e.g., slide, barrel, parts kit) as they may have their own warranty. For Polymer80-branded frames beyond 90 days, we may offer troubleshooting assistance but cannot guarantee a replacement.
